It's official. Russian President Dimitri Medvedev joined forces with the Western leaders in removing Gaddafi in his office.

While NATO is preparing to deploy helicopters in the disputed country, the Russians will act as a mediator. Medvedev announced in the G8 Summit that Gaddafi should step down because the world community does not see him as the leader of Libya. This act by the Russian President is praised by the World Leaders.

On Libya meanwhile, Gaddafi denies allegations of attacking innocent civilians. He also added that the NATO intervention is a act of aggression aimed at grabbing Libya's bountiful oil.
